Feline Ready to Strike

Feline Ready to Strike. Intense green eyed cat in a predator position.

Feline Ready to Strike is a great example of how framing and composition can distort reality. Although it might look like a feline predator ready to strike, in reality it’s just a small kitty who just finished eating. I never found out its name. Even though I broke framing guidelines (the ears are cut off), the shot is awesome. As a result the emphasis is placed on the eyes which become the main subject of the shot. I even have a couple of shots with no cut off. There’s no doubt about it: this one is the best! I shot this using my Fujifilm X-T20 and the XF 50-140mm F2.8. The eye and whiskers detail is amazing even on a 150x100cm print!
