Light Over Darkness
Whenever I look at this I think of the Dark Swan movie staring Natalie Portman, which is strange considering I’ve never seen it.
It is interesting to me how the original photo is somewhat bland. The water is a muddy green, the contrast is weak……there’s nothing there to enjoy, but once I turned it into a black&white with a selective color twist, everything changed. Now the water looks like melted tar. I guess you could almost call it fine art as it is now. The relative position of the swans to each other is now a lot more emphasized and I really enjoy looking at it.
I don’t have a particularly interesting story about this photo. It was taken in IOR Park in the autumn of 2022 using my Fujifilm X-H2s and the XF 50-140mm F2.8.
