Road Towards Vatican City
I believe there are many photos with the road towards Vatican city, but I’m still extremely proud of mine. Italians call it “Via della Conciliazione”. It’s the road which connects Castle Sant’ Angelo to St. Peter’s Square. If I remember correctly I took this photo on my first night in Rome. I think the side lights complement the sacred nature of the Vatican perfectly. If there’s one thing I admire the Vatican for, it’s the way it merges architecture and art together. It’s simply breathtaking. Although the lens I used for this shot is the Fujifilm 50-140mm F2.8, it sure doesn’t look like it. Had anyone else asked me what lens do I think was used to take the photo I would probably guess something else.
If you are ever find yourself in St. Peter’s Square, don’t forget to also visit the Castle of Sant’ Angelo, they’re very close to each other. Here’s a photo of Archangel Michael taken at the top of the castle. When you reach the roof of the castle you’ll be able to see Rome from above.
