Sacred Light in St. Peter’s Basilica

I managed to capture the perfect moment when the sun’s light hits the St. Peter’s Basilica dome and generates these wonderful light rays. In my mind, the beautiful light rays symbolize hope in the surrounding darkness. Like most of the Vatican, the basilica is breath taking. This is a monument to be admired and therefor a testament to Michelangelo’s talent. The photograph was taken in Rome 2018 on a trip to Italy.
